The phenomenal cast of The Haunted History Tour have gotten us off to a awe inspiring start. If you have been following the publicity, you will have seen the photos and read the reviews, which make it a clear winner, a must see for Cork said the Evening Echo. Audience turnout and feedback has been first class. Now we are looking for new blood. Yes it is with regret that we must say goodbye to some of our players next month, but we are loving the excitement of new members of the ensemble.

If you are cast in this production you will be required to attend at this venue next Saturday 16th and Sunday 17^th for introductory workshops, read through, basic blocking, actioning, detail and character building instruction. You will also need to provide and receive wardrobe information. Rehearsal schedules will be made available at this time and changes may be made at this time ONLY. We will begin at 11am and finish at 4pm. This is mandatory and cannot be rescheduled.

The main rehearsals begin Sunday 7^th January, by which date you are expected to be ‘off book', all cast are required to attend on that date for Improvisation workshop, line drills and work on situation 9 which involves the entire cast. We begin at 11am and finish at 5pm.

Most rehearsals will be scheduled for daytime therefore if you work a full time day job we need to know now in order to accommodate your work schedule where possible. Rehearsals are from Jan. 7^th to 31^st and will total approximately 70 hours. Rehearsal time is unpaid work.

January 27^th  (Sat.), 28^th(Sun.), 29^th (Mon.) and  31^st (Weds.) are all evening dress rehearsals from 6-10pm and cannot be rescheduled. If you are unable to attend we need to know now, later is unacceptable.

Performance dates.

The first performance is Thurs 1^st Feb, your call time is 7pm your exit time is 10pm. Tour is 8-9.15 for the audience. Warm up and deroling make it 7.45-9.30 for the actor. Costume and make up make it 7.30-9.45. Your first performance call is 7pm after that it is according to your dressing/make-up/preparation, needs, but you must arrive before 7.30. If changes need to be made at any time you will be expected to be available at 7pm. Where problems or future changes need to be discussed you will be expected to remain until 10pm. Warm up and deroling will remain a mandatory part of performance.

The building must be cleared by 10pm not 10.05.

As this is a longterm project running weekly each Thurs. Fri and Sat. it is the intention of the company to cast more than one team of actors to suit variable schedules. If it suits you to commit to all three nights but for one month only or one night indefinitely we need to know that now. You may of course commit to all nights for several months. The tour for the audience will be conducted 8pm to 9.15.(Subject to seasonal change.)

Adult actors of all ages, male and female, should apply and your audition will be kept on file with the company for future productions.

Experience is not essential for this production.

This particular production will run as a theatrical, site specific, night tour of Cork City Gaol. The performance will run every Thursday Friday and Saturday night beginning Thurs 1st February 2006. It will continue for four months minimum.

At audition each actor will be required to complete a form stating availability for rehearsal and performance.

We estimate rehearsal time to be approximately 70 hours. This begins and is inclusive of Sat 16th and Sunday 17th of December 10am to 5pm. Rehearsal will then resume following the Christmas period on the 7th or 8th of January. This date and the rehearsal schedule will be fixed by the 17th of December once casting has been completed.

The rehearsal method will include improvisation as the tour itself needs to be kept alive over a long term period and we hope to develop many scenes that will not be scripted until after the fact. To this end the script will be issued over the christmas period and actors are expected to be off book by the first day of rehearsal after christmas. On this day, and this day only, line drills will be executed. 

We are not in a position to pay rehearsal fees but each performance night each actor will be paid 30 euro.

A minimum of four weeks performance commitment is expected. At audition you must make clear what night(s) of performance and for what time period you can be contracted to.

We are very happy to audition actors for future reference but please advise us that this is what you are doing. Refusal following casting will do your file no favours.
